If you’re looking to jazz up a dinner or breakfast, try making crepes. They really aren’t that hard, and really look impressive for a dessert or even main course during dinner. However, if you refuse to try to make them (and with everyone being as busy as they are, I can’t blame you), they are also just as easy to buy and fill. No one has to know you didn’t make them.
Here are a few of my favorite crepe recipes.
Basic Crepes
If you’re looking to make them, this is a good, basic recipe.
Chicken Crepes with Asparagus and Mushrooms
Use the filling part of this recipe if you’re buying the crepes. This is an easy and yet elegant dinner item to make for an everyday meal or when company comes over.
Crepe Quiche Lorraine
Great recipe for savory crepes, courtesy of Alton Brown from the Food Network. This recipe works well for a brunch or breakfast meal.
Orange Crepes
Another recipe courtesy of the Food Network. Again, if you’re buying the crepes, just follow the instructions for the filling only. This is a great breakfast or even dessert recipe.
A final note about dessert crepes. If you keep a package of them in your fridge, you can always serve them with scoops of ice cream, whipped cream, nuts, and a cherry, for an easy finish to a meal.
